This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Mechanical Engineer with a technically interesting and highly successful marine motion control product line. Luxury yacht market product ensures prestigious clientele. Market leading brand. Medium size facility with design engineering, full manufacturing, assembly and test operations on-site. Opportunity to perform engineering functions, occasionally commission and test systems, and conduct data acquisition in the field. Requirements: Minimum BSME (MSME preferred) with mechanical product / machine design, structural design and analysis experience applied in the design and detailing of hydraulically-operated machinery and mechanical equipment and assemblies. Thorough experience-based knowledge of AutoCAD (at least release 2000) or Mechanical Desktop and Autodesk Inventor for 3D modeling and data management. Ability to efficiently work with others on collaborative engineering work, as well as to work independently. Experience supervising designers and drafters. Excellent written and verbal English composition and comprehension skills required and must be customer service oriented. Working knowledge of ANSI Y14.5, Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing required. Requires a high degree of professionalism in dealing with customers, vendors and colleagues. Preferred Experience: Design and specification of industrial and/or mobile hydraulic systems, circuits and components, use and understanding of 3D finite element analysis software and methods, use of advanced materials and structural composites in mechanical equipment.
