This is an exciting opportunity to work as an Electrical Engineer with a technically interesting and highly successful marine motion control product line. Requirements: Minimum BSEE (MSEE, PE preferred) with demonstrated success in design, analysis and documentation of analog and digital circuits and systems, PLC programming, ladder logic, AC and DC motors and their controls and protection, industrial controls and control panels, C programming, coordination and integration of sub-contracted electrical designs, writing clear and concise procedures and reports. Some travel may be required for on-site installation inspection, startup and commissioning assistance, troubleshooting and data acquisition. Thorough experience-based knowledge of AutoCAD (at least release 2000) for electrical system diagrams including one-line (cabling), interconnections, electrical equipment assemblies. Ability to efficiently work with others on collaborative engineering work, as well as to work independently. Experience supervising designers, drafters and electrical assemblers. This is a key position requiring a multifaceted individual capable of interfacing with upper management and representing the company with the highest degree of professionalism. Excellent written and verbal English composition and comprehension skills required. Must be customer service oriented. Preferred Experience: Motion control theory and application, graphical programming for human-machine interface, preparation and presentation of technical papers, design for the marine environment, electrical design for industrial and/or mobile hydraulic systems, use and understanding of circuit design and analysis software and methods.
